The mission of Pursuing Health is to empower a community of individuals to become the healthiest versions of themselves using a lifestyle-first approach. We draw from the best of alternative and conventional medicine to provide curated content and tools that make it easier to prioritize health in the fast pace of day-to-day life.
Julie and Dani first met over an episode of Grey’s Anatomy in their college dorm. After the episode, Dani pulled up CrossFit.com and it wasn’t long before they fell in love with each other, and with CrossFit. As they progressed through their medical training, Julie and Dani both became frustrated by the inability of the conventional medical system to address root causes of disease. There was a stark contrast between the patients they saw in the clinic who were being prescribed pill after pill, and the members of CrossFit gyms who were improving their overall health and reducing their need for medications. Seeing the potential to dramatically improve the health of our society and address the incredible burden of chronic disease, Dani and Julie have committed to practicing a new kind of medicine – one that harnesses the power of lifestyle and is rooted in communities.
